A few words about Saddleback Children's Center
Saddleback Children's Center (SCC) was established in 1983 as an independent, Church-affiliated, outreach program through Community Lutheran Church. Originally located on El Toro Road in Lake Forest the Church and School moved to Rancho Santa Margarita in 1988. The school reopened on Feb. 14, 1989 and has been serving the families in the Rancho Santa Margarita area ever since. SCC is a non-profit, accredited institution. We are licensed though the Department of Social Services, facility license # 300606937.

Q: What is an NAEYC Accredited school?
A: The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) has been working for over 50 years to define and promote quality eductional programs for young children. Their collaborative efforts involve literally thousands of stakeholders - including policymakers, researchers, administrators, teachers, parents, professors and validators to name a few.
They work together to set standards that define what a quality program for children should be. Our school goes through the accreditation process every three years. We have just been awarded reaccreditation in Jan of 2010!! read more...
